Counselling Services

I offer virtual individual therapy sessions and DBT skills groups for adults (ages 19 +). Below you will find a list of areas I specialize in and how I typically work with these therapeutically. This list is not exhaustive, so If you would like to work with me but don’t see your concern listed below, please feel free to contact me and I will be able to advise whether I have the necessary experience to support you.

Relational & Developmental Trauma

Relational and developmental trauma often stems from early experiences of unmet emotional needs or harmful dynamics within close relationships, shaping how we see ourselves and connect with others. Many people who have endured complex trauma (C-PTSD) or experienced forms of parentification or narcissistic abuse feel stuck in cycles of self-doubt, anxiety, and emotional pain.

Through a trauma-informed and attachment-focused lens, I support clients in understanding and healing the impact of these wounds. I also integrate somatic therapy to help process and release trauma stored in the body, allowing for a deeper sense of relief and connection. Together, we work to rebuild trust in yourself and others, reframe self-limiting beliefs, and create a sense of safety and resilience. My goal is to help you integrate these experiences, so you can experience greater freedom and connection in your life.

Borderline Personality Disorder & Traits

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) can lead to intense emotional experiences, difficulties with relationships, and a persistent feeling of instability. Individuals with BPD or BPD traits may find themselves struggling with intense mood swings, fears of abandonment, or impulsive actions that disrupt their lives. These challenges can often feel overwhelming and isolating.

In my work with clients experiencing BPD, I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a highly effective approach that combines acceptance and change. DBT teaches practical skills to manage intense emotions, relationships, and build resilience. Together, we’ll focus on strengthening skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. My goal is to support you in creating a more balanced and fulfilling life, grounded in self-acceptance and emotional stability.

Life transitions & Identity work

Navigating life’s transitions—whether it’s a new career, a change in relationships, or moving to a new stage in life—can bring up questions about identity, purpose, and direction. These shifts can be both exciting and unsettling as they often challenge our sense of self and prompt us to re-evaluate who we are and what we want.

In my counseling work, I provide a supportive space to explore these changes and connect with your authentic self. Together, we’ll examine core beliefs, values, and goals to help you gain clarity and confidence in your path forward. Whether you’re facing a major life decision, redefining your sense of self, or seeking personal growth, I’m here to guide and support you through the journey.

Mood Disorders & nervous system regulation

Living with a mood disorder such as anxiety and depression, can feel like a constant struggle managing symptoms that interfere with daily life. When mood disturbances take hold, it often keeps the nervous system in a prolonged state of reactivity, leading to cycles of stress and fatigue.

I provide a blend of evidence-based strategies to manage mood, along with techniques for nervous system regulation to help calm and balance the body’s stress response. Using tools like mindfulness, grounding, and somatic techniques, we work to alleviate physical symptoms and create a sense of safety and resilience. Together, we’ll create a path toward lasting relief, helping you navigate life with more calm, clarity, and control.

DBT Skills Group

In DBT Skills group, clients learn skills from the four modules: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Mindfulness cultivates present-moment awareness, distress tolerance helps clients to cope with crises without acting impulsively or making it worse, emotion regulation focuses on managing intense emotions, and interpersonal effectiveness enhances communication and relationship skills.
